Your wild west journey awaits! Get your team assembled (EACH TEAM MEMBER MUST REGISTER) and prepare for a full-day event that can be accomplished at your leisure as you discover what Whitefish has to offer. Family-oriented clues and challenges can be completed during the day while adult-themed activities can be attempted at night if you are feeling brave. We will have a long list of places/people/things to see that will assist you in finding your destination while you become familiar with Whitefish and the history of this resort city. Cell phones will be used for some of the challenges so be sure to bring at least cone for your team. Prizes and proceeds from registration fees will be awarded. Feel free to dress “Scavenger Hunt Chic” – mustaches, safari hats, trench coats (weather permitting!), Sherlock Holmes hats, magnifying glasses, colored jeans/shorts, compasses and camouflage fit the bill.

The tour will have a break for lunch at the Two Dog Flats Grill at Rising Sun. The first group will depart Grouse Mountain Lodge at 8:15 AM and return around 5:00 PM. Transportation and entry into Glacier National Park are included in the price of this event. Lunch at Two Dog Flats is on your own.

Our most popular rafting trip is accessible for all abilities and great for families who want to introduce their little adventurers to some river-top excitement! Your 2 to 3 hour journey on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River begins with a mellow float to take in the history and views of this incredible area. Then, enter a beautiful canyon with small rapids and deep clear water pools as the excitement begins to rise. Keep an eye out for wildlife and west slope cutthroat trout swimming by as you and your guide navigate the rapids. This trip is chock-full of good times. On warm days, many rafters also take the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the river along the way. Transportation is included in the price of this event.

Explore Whitefish with a local on our private guided tours! Enjoy our local Whitefish paved trail system on either E-bikes starting at Grouse Mountain lodge. The tour explores the local trails and popular stopping points on the Whitefish River, Whitefish Lake and local business. The tour will end with a beer tasting at our favorite downtown brewery, Blackstar. Tour time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hour Tour cost per person includes bike rentals, helmet, private guide, 1 beer flight and a 10% gratuity. Must be over 16 years old.

Enjoy a 2-hour outstanding horseback riding in the mountainous Montana terrain. The trail rides are walking only, and children must be at least seven years old to go out on the trails. The weight limit for public trail rides is 225 pounds. Transportation is included in the price.

Youth younger than 4 will remain at the hotel for painting, coloring, and general play. Parental consent forms and contact information must be provided before drop-off. Snacks will be provided, but parents are expected to pick up their child(ren)for lunch.
